This is for Ohio Electrical Contractor virtual 4 week exam preparation.
This class will take place virtually every Tuesday night in the month of August via ZOOM
from 6:00pm-9:00pm eastern time.

WEEK 1 August 4: DIVE INTO THE ESSENTIALS
• Get acquainted with the National Electrical Code (NEC)
• Understand Ohm’s Law and Resistor fundamentals
• Master Basic theory and essential lighting calculations
WEEK 2 August 11: PRACTICAL APPLICATIONS
• Explore receptacles, appliances, and specialized equipment like dryers and ranges
• Tackle all the different kinds of load calculations crucial for your exam success
WEEK 3 August 18: KEY CONCEPTS IN PRACTICE
• Learn about conductors, overcurrent protection, and grounding principles
• Navigate through motors, conduit practices, and box fill requirements
WEEK 4 August 25: ADVANCED TOPICS AND EXAM STRATEGIES
• understand transformers and voltage drop calculations
• Familiarize yourself with the National Fire Alarm and Signaling Code
• Gain insights into business and law specific to contractors
• Strategize for effective test-taking to maximize your scores

Who is the instructor?

He orchestrates training initiatives, virtual design and construction projects, layout, planning, and oversees prefabrication and acts as the UL Manufacturing Technical Representative. His journey in the electrical industry commenced in 2002, where he embarked on a path of growth through Local 606’s esteemed apprenticeship program. He ascended to roles including foreman, electrical inspector, plans examiner, and qualifying agent before assuming his current position. He serves as Principal for NFPA across various codes and standards, including the revered National Electrical Code and Nation Fire Alarm and Signaling Code. His expertise extends further as he actively contributes to five UL Standards Technical Panels, shaping industry benchmarks and best practices. Holding multiple electrical contractors’ licenses, is also a licensed plans examiner and inspector, a provider of continuing education, and NICET Level IV certification in Fire Alarm Systems.

What if I miss a week?

We record all of our classes, so if you cant make a week, you can login to your account on the website here and rewatch it at your convenience.
We also do this class every month, so you can reschedule to the next month if you need to. Just let us know.
