South Dakota Electrical Continuing Education
Educational and entertaining Continuing Education courses for the absolute lowest price. our courses provide anywhere from 8 hours to 16 hours of continuing education required for license renewal. Once completed, you will receive a certificate of completion immediately to attach to your license renewal form.
Renewal Requirements

South Dakota Electricians must complete 16 hours of electrical continuing education every 2 years on even numbered years. The next renewal deadline is June 30, 2024

At least 8 of those hours must be on the National Electrical Code.

You can complete up to 8 hours online. The remaining 8 hours have to be in a live class setting. (Zoom counts for this.)

How do I renew my license?
First you need to complete your continuing education hours. Once you have completed your hours, You will receive a certificate of completion for your records and to attach to your renewal. The next step for you is to make sure you have paid your licensing fee and renewed your license with the board. You can do that on the BOARD WEBSITE HERE.
